| Yours will taste much better! Image Source: Quakeroats.com |
I'm not SURE when I might get around to doing the scheduled posts on time, because I'm busy to say the least right now, but I will try to get them done when I can. Believe it or not, yes I did have a menu plan this week and yes, I've been following it. Actually, this is the first time since I went entirely gluten free that my husband COMPLIMENTED me on the menu this week and that he's been enjoying the meals I've been adjusting to be gluten free (I've actually got a couple to share, so stay tuned for that in the near future).
For "Totally Natural Tuesday" I've got some cool things on Cilantro scheduled (since it's finally becoming available at the stores again), but I still need to find the one recipe I wanted to share *laugh*, so stick with me here as I AM working on it.
For "We Repurpose Wednesday" I was going to try to do a tutorial on turning an empty coffee can (medium sized one...yes, I still have empty cans. You never know when you could use one) into a cool utensil holder (believe it or not if you weave some burlap pieces around the outside of the can it really does look cool and you'd never know it was a coffee can. I just used hot glue to adhere it and then used some colorful ribbon to put some colored stripes onto it as well), but my neighbor had a terrible winter for health (like ending up in the hospital three times type of bad) and she was out for the first time trying to get some of her plants figured for the coming summer (she's HUGE on plants and has the green thumb I wish I had) and she was depressed that she still felt so worn down. Since I couldn't help her with her yard work (I hate to say it, but Alvah likes to eat dirt...sensory issues with autism are fun sometimes) I gave her the can to use as an herb planter for her kitchen window. It really made her day, but I, unfortunately, forgot to take pictures of it...so that tutorial will have to wait for another day I guess.
Common Knowledge Thursday has been MIA for a while now, but no one seems to be missing it, so I'm not TERRIBLY worried about it *laugh*.
And so we come to Allergy Friendly Friday and an awesome recipe to share!
Go HERE where The Spunky Coconut shares a truly awesome looking recipe for N'oatmeal Bars (grain free, egg free, lots of other things free...very allergen friendly). With a couple of tweaks to it (no coconut for us), I think this is going to taste truly awesome and I can't WAIT to try them!
Enjoy!
